Baekhyun, member of EXO and a solo force in K-pop, has officially achieved his 4th million-seller album with his 5th mini album Essence of Reverie.
According to INB100 and Hanteo Chart data, the album—released on May 19—crossed 1 million copies sold within just 3 days (by May 21), breaking his own previous record by 2 days.
📈 A Rare Feat in 2025
What makes this even more impressive is the current state of the industry: overall K-pop album sales are declining. Yet Baekhyun continues to prove his enduring power, loyalty of his fanbase, and musical consistency.
His previous albums:
- City Lights
- Delight
- Bambi
- Hello, World …all saw major sales, but Essence of Reverie now holds the fastest million-mark.

The album dives into the boundary between reality and reverie, offering fans a mix of soulful vocals and elevated storytelling.
Baekhyun is also scheduled to perform the title track “Elevator” on KBS Music Bank (May 23), continuing his active music show appearances.
