BTS Is Back as One: SUGA Completes Military Service

🕊️ SUGA’s Service Ends, BTS Stands Together Again

It’s official: BTS is whole again. On June 18, SUGA completed his final workday as a social service agent in South Korea. Though his official discharge date is June 21, he has now entered his final leave period — marking the true end of his military alternative service.

This moment is especially meaningful for ARMYs around the world. With SUGA’s discharge, all seven members of BTS have now fulfilled their military duties, signaling the group’s long-awaited readiness to reunite both musically and emotionally.

⚖️ SUGA’s Path Wasn’t Easy

SUGA’s journey differed from the other members. Due to a prior shoulder injury from a traffic accident, he was deemed unfit for active duty and began his alternative service as a public service worker in September 2023.

However, his time in service wasn’t without controversy. In August 2024, he was fined 15 million KRW (approx. $11,000) for riding an e-scooter under the influence. His blood alcohol level at the time was 0.227% — well above the legal limit. The incident was a difficult chapter, but SUGA faced it with humility, taking responsibility and moving forward.

🌟 The Reunion We’ve Been Waiting For

Now, all of BTS — Jin, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, Jungkook, and SUGA — have officially completed their service. Just a few days ago, on June 13, they were all spotted reuniting at J-Hope’s encore concert, HOPE ON THE STAGE FINAL, held at Goyang Stadium. It was the first time in years fans saw all seven together in person, celebrating not only J-Hope’s music but also their brotherhood.
