💣 “MIC Drop” Hits 1.5 Billion Views — BTS’s Fourth to Do So

BTS has just hit another milestone. The music video for their iconic “MIC Drop” (Steve Aoki Remix) officially surpassed 1.5 billion views on YouTube as of May 23 at 5:07 PM KST.

This marks BTS’s 4th video to break the 1.5 billion mark, joining the ranks of Dynamite, Boy With Luv, and DNA as part of their elite multi-billion-view lineup.

🎧 A Remix That Went Global

Originally released in 2017 as part of LOVE YOURSELF 承 ‘Her’, “MIC Drop” was remixed by world-renowned DJ Steve Aoki, giving the track a hard-hitting electronic edge.

Upon release, the remix debuted at #28 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and stayed there for 10 consecutive weeks — a monumental feat for a K-pop group at the time.

🎬 An MV That Stays Iconic

The music video’s imagery — BTS performing in an interrogation room surrounded by microphones and dancing in fiery outdoor sets — still resonates with fans.

The most unforgettable moment? SUGA dropping the mic in the closing scene — a visual mic drop as literal and legendary as it gets.
