Former EXO member Tao (Huang Zitao) is caught in a whirlwind of rumors after Chinese media claimed he and wife Xu Yiyang may have secretly welcomed a child in the U.S.
A viral video posted on June 25 by a Chinese gossip outlet shows Xu Yiyang’s mother helping a nanny carry a child into a car. The media outlet boldly claimed the baby is Tao and Yiyang’s, further stating that Xu had undergone prenatal care in the U.S. last year.
👶 Suspicions Aren’t New—Clues Surfaced for Months
The rumor isn’t entirely new. Back in August 2024, netizens alleged they saw Xu visiting an American OB-GYN clinic. Around the same time, Tao stirred buzz during a livestream where he slipped up saying he wanted to spend time with “my wife and child,” before quickly correcting to “my brothers.”
More signs followed: in December, Xu was spotted shopping for a crib at a baby store, right when the couple officially announced their marriage.
