IHOTEU Disbands — All Contracts with JDB Subsidiary Terminated

Rookie K-pop girl group IHOTEU has officially disbanded.

The group, managed by EFG Music, a subsidiary of JDB Entertainment (home to celebrities like Kim Dae-hee and Kim Jun-ho), announced that all member contracts have been terminated as of June 14. The decision shocked fans who have followed the trio since their debut in 2023.

EFG Music initially shared that member Mina would be halting activities, with Negi and Amu continuing. However, a follow-up announcement revealed a deeper shift: “IHOTEU, after deep discussions about their individual paths and emotional well-being, has decided to terminate all contracts with the company. Mina’s graduation was mutual, and further discussions about group activities are no longer possible.”

Formed in May 2023, IHOTEU made their debut with “IHOTEU DEBUT LIVE: Voyage to the Unknown,” quickly gathering a modest but passionate fanbase with their ethereal concept and artistic direction.

JDB Entertainment founded EFG Music in October 2023, with IHOTEU as their first artist. Despite their short run, IHOTEU’s departure marks another reminder of the fragile nature of rookie K-pop acts.
