In a recent interview with The Straits Times, singer-songwriter Andrew Choi couldn’t stop praising BTS’s Jungkook. The reason? Jungkook’s viral cover of Soda Pop, the upbeat theme song from Netflix’s global hit K-pop Demon Hunters.
“He sings so effortlessly. It may sound simple, but that’s the mark of a true vocalist,” Choi said.
“On a scale of 1 to 10? Jungkook is 11.”
Jungkook had previously sung a snippet of Soda Pop during a personal livestream, charming fans around the world. Not only did he perfectly deliver the vibe of the track, but he even spotted a lyric error — a fact that left Andrew Choi both impressed and grateful.
“No one caught that mistake until Jungkook did,” Choi laughed. “Thank you, Jungkook.”

Andrew Choi voiced Jinwoo, the main vocalist of the fictional boy group SajaBoys in K-pop Demon Hunters. While actor Ahn Hyo-seop gave life to Jinwoo’s character, Choi handled the vocals — and he wasn’t the only standout.
He also praised Ahn Hyo-seop’s performance of the track Free, saying:
“He’s so handsome, acts well, sings well… it’s almost unfair,”
“He’s a 10 out of 10 too. I was honestly surprised Sony Pictures didn’t let him sing more.”

The Netflix original has broken records, drawing in over 130 million views and becoming the most-watched Korean animated film globally. Songs like Soda Pop and Free have become anthems, bolstered by K-pop icons like Jungkook showing their love.
Andrew Choi ended his interview by saying:
“I never expected this project to blow up. It’s been an honor to play even a small role in it.”
