After completing his military service, EXO’s Kai has officially made his grand return — and he did it his way. On May 17–18, Kai held his first-ever solo concert titled ‘KAI ON’ at the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium in Seoul, selling out both shows and thrilling over 9,000 fans in total.

This concert wasn’t just a performance — it was a declaration: “Kai is back.”

A Celebration of Kai’s Identity — From EXO to Solo

Kai filled the stage with tracks from his four solo albums, including his most recent mini album ‘Rover’ and ‘Peaches’. The show opened with ‘Sinner’, and fans were immediately swept up in his signature sensuality and intense choreography. He followed with hits like ‘Mmmh’, ‘Slidin’, and ‘Nothing on Me’, bringing the entire arena to a frenzy.

Even the stage design was uniquely Kai: sliding lifts, rotating platforms, mirror sets, and LED typography all spelled out his artistic vision.

A Nod to EXO’s Legacy

Despite the solo spotlight, Kai didn’t forget his roots. He performed an EXO medley of songs like ‘My Lady’, ‘Baby Don’t Cry’, and ‘Into Your World’, bringing fans on a nostalgic journey back to his debut days. Fellow EXO members Suho, Chanyeol, and D.O. were present to support him, drawing cheers from the crowd.

Kai later shared, “Hearing the fan chants during EXO songs brought tears to my eyes. It reminded me of how far I’ve come.”

Kai Gets Emotional at Encore

During the encore, Kai was visibly moved by a fan-organized event. Fighting tears, he reflected on his return:

“I was scared. Coming back after 2 years, I wondered if I could still do it. But once I step on stage, all those fears disappear. This is just the beginning.”

He also teased EXO’s future by saying:

“Fall is coming, and Sehun will return too. Soon, there will be no more military hiatus. Nothing can stop us now.”

What’s Next?

Kai’s solo tour will now expand to 10 cities across Asia, including Kuala Lumpur, Macao, Jakarta, Singapore, Taipei, Manila, Bangkok, Yokohama, and Hong Kong.
