Netflix’s K-Pop Demon Hunters just gave us another heartwarming moment—this time off-screen. Korean-American actress Arden Cho, the voice of “LUMI,” shared a touching thank-you to Cha Eun-woo, who joined the Korean military today (July 28) as a member of the Army Band.

She said, “We casually talked about doing a cover together, and he just did it with full energy. I’m super grateful.” Eun-woo had texted her after watching the film, saying how much he loved it both as a singer and a fan.

Arden, who previously starred in Teen Wolf and Partner Track, described her recent visit to Korea as “filled with joy.” She laughed, “People keep saying ‘LUMI came to protect Korea in real life’—I love that so much.” The buzz only grew after videos of her dancing with K-pop idols went viral.

Their spontaneous cover shoot became a farewell gift to fans and each other, with Arden posting, “My little brother is off to the army. I’m proud of him and sending all my love. Let’s meet again in Hollywood!”

The actress also shared how K-pop Demon Hunters connected her more deeply to Korean culture. She’s now more fluent in Korean, thanks to her local friends, and dreams of acting in a Korean series one day.

Even more magical? Arden says even non-K-pop fans in the U.S. are “falling in love with Korea” after watching the film. “My white friends’ daughters copy LUMI’s hairstyle and ask their moms for kimbap. Isn’t that amazing?” she said, laughing.
